U.S. Highway 377 runs straight through town and connects Aubrey to Denton and Pilot Point. A lot of the newer construction in Savannah and Providence went up between 2005 and 2015, and those homes almost always came with builder-grade Whirlpool and Frigidaire kitchen suites. We see a lot of control board failures on those refrigerators after about eight years. The older homes closer to downtown Aubrey, built in the 80s and early 90s, tend to have GE and older Kenmore units. Those usually need door seals, thermostats, or defrost timers first. The rural acreage properties outside the subdivisions often have hard well water, which kills washing machine inlet valves and dishwasher fill solenoids faster than city water does. We also get calls from homeowners on private wells whose ice makers clog up with sediment if the whole-house filter hasn’t been changed recently. It’s a consistent pattern we see every summer.
